Resumen

TEODORO, Elizabeth Fátima; SIMOES, Alexandre  y  GONCALVES, Gesianni Amaral. Mood Changes in Psychopathic Plot of DSM-V. Analytica [online]. 2020, vol.9, n.16, pp. 1-20. ISSN 2316-5197.

This paper aims to perform a critical analysis of the changes concerning DSM-IV mood disorders for DSM-V. In order to reach this goal, we performed a qualitative and comparative study using, mainly, the last two versions of the DSM and related articles. In this sense, we developed this research in three parts, which highlight the neuralgic points of the mood alterations in DSM-IV and DSM-V, seeking to highlight the main modifications resulting from this transition. The first one addresses bipolar disorders and their rise in the contemporary psychopathological scenario. We then traced the psychopathological course of mourning. Finally, we outline the faces of premenstrual tension in the history of mankind. With this path, we aimed to demarcate some significant variables involved in the contemporary propensity to classify psychic suffering from a clearly taxonomic logic and, consequently, subject to medicalization.

Palabras clave : Grief; Medicalization; Bipolar disorder; Premenstrual tension.
