COPPUS, Alinne Nogueira Silva  y  PEREIRA, Patrícia Teixeira. What Psychoanalysis May Offer to the Subject who Finds Themselves in the Face of their Bodies' Process of Illness?: Considerations about the Listening of the Subject in Hospital. Analytica [online]. 2020, vol.9, n.17, pp. 1-17. ISSN 2316-5197.

In the face of falling ill, people generally tend to seek answers for their hardships through medical knowledge. As the hospital is considered a treatment facility, the hospitalization is an attempt to overcome through science. To some people, dealing with the process of illness seems like a devastation, making a hole in the network of meanings in which people recognize themselves throughout their lives. By falling ill, people begin to emanate anguish feelings, which may be a piece of evidence of an ungraspable Real in the language. The encounter of the patient with the psychoanalyst at the hospital may be a possibility for the subject to find a possible path for the events that happen in their lives through the word. The aim of this article is to discuss what Psychoanalysis may offer to the subject who finds themselves in the face of their bodies' process of illness.
