Abstract

PONDE, Cristiana Regina Ferreira de Aguiar  and  PEIXOTO JUNIOR, Carlos Augusto. The Elements of Countertransference with Limit Borderline Cases: Projective Identification, Analytical Holding, Reverie and Figurability Work. Analytica [online]. 2020, vol.9, n.17, pp. 1-24. ISSN 2316-5197.

The present study, which is part of a broader investigation on the beginnings of the psyche and the clinic of limit cases, aims to investigate the elements that make up the transfer/countertransference with these cases. Understanding the borderline cases as a subjectivity marked by early traumas derived from basic failures, we seek to investigate the elements of the beginnings of psychic life that offer subsidies for the management of transference/countertransference and for the construction of tools that allow minimizing the impasses experienced in the clinic with these cases. The notion of projective identification, in its clinical bias, is added the notions of reverie, continent/contained dyad, potential space and figurability work as elements that compose the analytical relationship and expand the scope of countertransference to more primitive dimensions of the psyche.

Keywords : Countertransference; Borderlines; Projective identification; Reverie; Figurability.
