Abstract

SANGLARD, Heitor Soares; CALZAVARA, Maria Gláucia Pires  and  MACHADO, José Roney de Freitas. Psychic Transmission in Freud, Lacan and René Kaës: Approximations and Distances. Analytica [online]. 2022, vol.11, n.20, pp. 1-19. ISSN 2316-5197.

In this article, we aimed to understand how the concept of psychic transmission appears in the works of Freud, Lacan and René Kaës in order to find, in these three authors, approximations and distances in their formulations on the theme. Based on a bibliographic research by the main works of such authors, there is a consensus on the importance of the identifications and of the narcissistic pathways as privileged mechanisms of psychic transmission. In the same way, it was found that the essence of conducting treatment leads in the same direction: the assumption of a desire, in the words of Freud and Lacan, or that the subject becomes a beneficiary of his psychic inheritances, in the words of Kaës. As distances, it was highlighted that Freud and Lacan focused more on the integrative contents of the transmission, while Kaës proposed advances on the negative contents as well as on the refinements on some concepts. Finally, the psychic transmission was considered an important facilitator of the contemporary psychoanalytic clinic.

Keywords : Psychic transmission; Psychoanalysis; Freud; Lacan; Kaës.
