Abstract

GUERRA, Andréa Máris Campos. Universal, particular and singular: psychoanalysis and politicsUniversal, particular y singular: Psicoanálisis y Política. Clín. & Cult. [online]. 2019, vol.8, n.1, pp. 7-23. ISSN 2317-2509.

The article aims to discuss the relationship between universal, particular and singular in the interface between psychoanalysis and politics. To this end, part of the Aristotelian classical logic of the formal axiom of the universal affirmative to put it in question with the modern logic of Sanders Peirce, suspending the principle of non-contradictory and the principle of the excluded third. It concludes with Jacques Lacan's argument that the declarative act - phasis - introduces, as a declarative act, the subject's engagement, producing, by the negative, the existence of a universal where previously only the logical-formal attribution oversees. Thus, it proposes the singular engagement of each subject in the composition of non-predicative universals as logic that can guide a non-segregationist policy.

Keywords : Psychoanalysis; politics; universal; particular; singular.
