The article proposes a difference between narcissism of small differences and a logic of segregation. It analyzes the society organization proposed in Farenheit 451 as an example of a segregation structure. It takes up the supposed Freudians developed in the text on mass psychology, rereading in the light of Lacanian concepts developed in the text on the ethics of psychoanalysis. The article also deals with the difficulty of mourning in the logic of segregation.
