One of the most psychological processes studied in the traffic context is the memory, and several studies have investigated the relationship between its performance in an assessment and the age. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of age on the Traffic Visual Memory test performance, as well as verifying the presence of differential item functioning by age. The sample were 1003 people with a mean age of 27.97 years (SD = 10.47), predominantly women. The magnitudes of correlation indicated no significant interference of sex in the associations between test performance and age, while other analyzes involving this variable performed better for the younger participants. Regarding to the differential items functioning, the older groups were privileged in five interactions, while the youngest were favored in nine interactions, what therefore showed a balance concerning to response biases
