ABSTRACT Armed violence in recent years has intensified the murder of young people in the necropolitical meshes of the peripheries of Fortaleza. This article aims to map the practices of confronting armed violence developed by the Forum of Schools for Peace of Grande Bom Jardim (FEPGBJ). The narrated experiences come from the creation and composition of a social movement of public schools and partners in one of the peripheries of Fortaleza-CE that for five years has been developing interventions and pacts of actions in the guarantee of valorization of life and culture of peace between spaces of war on drugs, as the right to come and go in the peripheral territories, and the permanence of school life in the daily lives of these students. Through the Forum of Schools, strategies are rescued to confront violence through culture and art in the promotion of spaces of resistance where young people experience their cultural polyphonies.
