Abstract

SILVA, Tamara Queiroz Costa  and  SZAPIRO, Ana Maria. Heterosexuals women in stable relationship: limits of advice on STD / HIV / AIDS. Rev. Subj. [online]. 2015, vol.15, n.3, pp. 350-361. ISSN 2359-0769.

Facing AIDS epidemic of the more general framework of feminization in Brazil, with the increase in cases in heterosexual women in a stable relationship, this article examines issues related to non-adoption of preventive behavior in this group. It is considered that the non-adoption indicates a difficulty in negotiating the condom, which, although it may be related to values such as loyalty and trust, extrapolates them. In order to examine the difficulties on the ways of prevention in this particular group, interviews were conducted with five women who spoke to an HIV Testing and Counseling Center for STD / HIV / AIDS to the HIV retesting - the demand for retesting , it was identified in the group some difficult in adopting condom. By analyzing the discourse of the interviewees, a conflict between condom use recommendation (such as prevention of disease) and the subjective and cultural values (as the fidelity pact in all forms of conjugality) was evidenced Such values are, according to reports, beyond the recommendations that the respondents had received about the prevention of the disease.

Keywords : HIV; AIDS; conjugality; loyalty; risk.
