Abstract

SILVEIRA, Fernando; SIMANKE, Richard  and  FIGUEIRA, Fernando. Crosscutting between psychology and discipline in discipline and punish by Michel Foucault. Rev. Subj. [online]. 2015, vol.15, n.3, pp. 438-446. ISSN 2359-0769.

The discipline in Foucault's archeo-genealogy unveiled mechanisms of production, handling and coordination of corporeal powers. The production of the disciplinary subject was a functional element in the production of rationality over psychologized bodies and souls. Thus, the discipline is the technique of formation of useful, docile and submissive bodies, know-reference for the diagnosis of normal or deviant individuals. This article examines the crosscutting between psychology and discipline, analyzing the disciplinary effect on the reinvention of bodies and souls and in the production of own psychological subject, especially in the constitution of tests and expert reports. Our hypothesis that disciplinary techniques offer the psychological subject constitution elements and the constitution of the disciplinary and psychological subject interrelate in a reciprocal presupposition process.

Keywords : Foucault; psychology and discipline; body-soul.
