Abstract

CARDOSO, Valéria Maria Lima  and  RIBEIRO, Carla Vaz dos Santos. Between crossings: the health of teachers in the expansion / internalization of IFMA. Rev. Subj. [online]. 2016, vol.16, n.1, pp. 24-35. ISSN 2359-0769.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5020/23590777.16.1.23-36.

This article refers to the health impacts of the migration process carried out by teachers as a result of the expansion / internalization of IFMA. The dialectical historical materialism was adopted as method and as theoretical reference the Sociology of Work and the Psychodynamics of Work. Five (5) teachers and two (2) directors were interviewed through semi-structured interview scripts. It is concluded that teachers use different strategies to cope with adversities in the work context that involve family distancing and the deficit infrastructure conditions of the city where the campus is located.

Keywords : Human migration; Teaching work; health; vocational education.
