Abstract

NEVES, Tiago Iwasawa; DOS SANTOS, Andreza Silva  and  DE MARIZ, Inácio Antônio Silva. Violence and its real: Zizek and psychoanalysis. Rev. Subj. [online]. 2017, vol.17, n.1, pp. 45-54. ISSN 2359-0769.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5020/23590777.rs.v17i1.5148.

In this article, we take violence as the object of our discussion, but we propose to present it beyond its everyday phenomenology. Our intention is to take a look at violence, that is, we intend to problematize the Real that breaks through the fissures in the social web, taking as main reference the psychoanalytic reading performed by Slavoj Zizek. His thesis on violence denounces the subjectivist lure of understanding it only as an expression of the clash between social agents and questions its meaning in what is most real in it, that is, in what is inscribed at the heart of his traumatic condition and that is installed in the demands of language as a way of articulating around the void. In this context, the true political act appears as a bet, a violent appeal to the impossible to be realized and a shock in the naturalized fantasies that proliferate in the bonds that the subject establishes with the other.

Keywords : violence; real; policy; Zizek; psychoanalysis.
