Abstract

PALMA, Claudia Maria de Sousa. Developments in academic education for psychoanalytic training: contributions of the clinic offered in a general hospital. Rev. Subj. [online]. 2017, vol.17, n.1, pp. 79-89. ISSN 2359-0769.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5020/23590777.rs.v17i1.5157.

This article is interested in the effects of academic education, based on Freudian metapsychology, on Lacanian contributions and on the psychoanalytic clinic developed in a public health institution. In order to do so, it is in dialogue with two works carried out, respectively, in two general hospitals: a research with patients attended by professionals in specialization, who intends to problematize the treatment effects in the patients attended, and an extension project that problematizes the teaching conditions of the clinic from the meeting of students with the treatment devices and their effects. From this dialogue, the work highlights the nuances of academic clinical training in the psychoanalytic field, taking into account the consequences that if the experience with the clinic is one of the conditions for the formation of an analyst, an analyst is a condition for the establishment of the analytical situation approach to treatment. It discusses the implication of this factor in the effects produced in the clinic offered in an institution, adding, in the analysis, the institutional scenario with its clinical variety and its curative demands, which, on the one hand, of adding to the formation, on the other, request a preparation of the professional if the horizon is an analytical treatment in its distinction to the therapeutic and care approaches. On this point, the article rescues the Freudian indicators regarding the limits of apprehension to the clinical aspect of psychoanalysis, in the university, aligned with the personal analysis of the professional as a fundamental device. Considering the specificity of the academic proposal in the undergraduate course, it proposes a teaching device to the management with the unconscious knowledge that interests to the psychoanalytic clinic.
