Abstract
DE ANGELIS, Thais Klein and DE OLIVEIRA, Regina Herzog. Anguish as fundamental pathos: a freudian matter. Rev. Subj. [online]. 2017, vol.17, n.1, pp.90-97. ISSN 2359-0769. https://doi.org/10.5020/23590777.rs.v17i1.5139.
Starting from the clinical experience in psychoanalysis research, this article deals with the concept of anguish in the Freudian plot. It is observed that, in a significant portion of the subjects attended, the anguish presents itself as an impossible affection of representation and that has as destination, among others, the body and / or compulsive acts not mediated by the thought. For a closer approximation of the psychic dynamics of these subjects, we try to discuss a more primitive dimension of this affection, which distances itself from the notion of signal anguish, in Freud's work. As a subsidy, Heidegger's conception of anguish will be approached, circumscribed as an affection that is distinguished from fear by its absence of object and function. In this way, the anguish is discussed as fundamental pathos, different from the anxiety and the anguish of castration.
