This article discusses the subjectivity processes in contemporary times, crossed by the capitalist logic of consumption and disposal, from the discourse articulated by movie "Fight Club". The same way, aims thinking what the role of the clinic before this contemporary scenario is, which authors such as Joel Birman and Maria Rita Kehl, call the society of the spectacle and image culture. Along the film, in the light of Foucault's Discourse Analysis, tweezers some of the main characters lines to analyze them in what they say about the relationship of the subject to the contemporary world and what the clinic, while ethical listening has to question. From the analysis of discourse and its seam with some concepts arising from psychoanalysis and philosophy of difference, a discussion will be made about:the announced film; the contemporary capitalist society and the subject that emerges in this context; and the clinic's position on this scenario.
