Abstract

This article aims to problematize the solitude's politics of the contemporary. Therefore, it focuses on lines that composes some apparatus that operate in the shift from disciplinary society to control society. The problematic fields are mainly: the establishment of modern cities; the development of liberalism and the individualization's government. Genealogical method is applied to clarify aspects of the problematic in question. It closes with a reflection on the ways of solitary existence, in the light of Deleuze and Foucault's readings. It evokes a fundamental solitude: key-concept to inquire the solitary experience beyond the logic of individualism.
