Abstract

ROCHA, Marina Gregianin; RODRIGUES, Marina da Rocha; TOROSSIAN, Sandra Djambolakdjian  and  GAGEIRO, Ana Maria. Storytelling as a Clinical Device in Childhood facing Brazilian Racism. Rev. Subj. [online]. 2020, vol.20, n.spe2, pp. 1-13. ISSN 2359-0769.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5020/23590777.rs.v20iesp2.e8986.

This article aims to present workshops on children's literature and storytelling as a clinical device for listening to suffering, of which, for this article, listening to racial inequality stands out. It starts from an experience in which racism was denied and silenced in the listening process, situating this blindness as resistance by the analyst, which, due to structural racism to the Brazilian, is present in the field of scientific knowledge and culture. We work from the storytelling of Dandara dos Palmares, analyzing the effects of subjectification on all workshop participants, children, and psychoanalysts.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; racism; childhood; analyst resistance; children's literature.
