Abstract

KEHL, Mariana Salles  and  FORTES, Maria Isabel. On the link between Imaginary and Violence: Dissolutions in the Body. Rev. Subj. [online]. 2021, vol.21, n.3, pp. 1-12. ISSN 2359-0769.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5020/23590777.rs.v21i3.e9305.

Considering the dissolution of modern traditional values and the particularities of the subjective configurations engendered in Contemporary, this article proposes a theoretical reflection based on the resumption of the Lacanian psychoanalytic path concerning the formulation of the imaginary register, highlighting its link with violence and its consequences in the body. Therefore, the essential character of the mirror stage in the formation of the Self is covered, the conflicting and intrinsic relationship with the other, the theoretical distinctions between aggression and violence, the foundations of the body with which Psychoanalysis operates, and its understanding as an outcome symptomatic favored by the act. Finally, the resources that the psychoanalytic clinic can offer in this situation are outlined.

Keywords : imaginary; violence; body; symptom; contemporaneity.
