ABOUT THE JORNAL

CÓGITO is an annual edited review of Círculo Psicanalítico da Bahia aiming to publicize the work developed by its members.

It was first issued in 1996 and it’s first number, done in a almost artisanal hard work way, was quickly out of print, once the number of copies was too small.
After a three years break, the edition was restarted with the launching of volume 2/ 2000 and since then it has followed an annual thematic sequence.
In 2005 we prepared a 2nd print edition of the first volume in order to compose the series in its current format and restore the importance of the texts published there.

From 10th the journal is published exclusively in electronic format.

Círculo Psicanalítico da Bahia – CPB (Psychoanalytic Circle of Bahia) was founded in 1970 and is affiliated to Círculo Brasileiro de Psicanálise – CBP( Brasilian Circle of Psychoanalysis) that joins 07 psychoanalitic institutions in several Brazilian states and to International Federation of Psychoanalytic Societies – IFPS.
Through its 35 years, CPB is committed to form a large number of analysts working now in many cities in Bahia.
