SOUZA, Carolina de  e  SANTOS, Manoel Antônio dos. BISEXUAL WOMEN’S HEALTH: ANALYSIS OF NATIONAL SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION IN GRADUATE STUDIES. Psicol. clin. [online]. 2023, vol.35, n.1, pp.15-38.  Epub 26-Ago-2024. ISSN 0103-5665.  https://doi.org/10.33208/pc1980-5438v0035n01a01.

The recognition of women as subjects of health policies is a recent reality in Brazil, but there are still barriers to the inclusion of non-heterocentered sexual orientation in health care proposals. This study aimed to analyze the Brazilian scientific production, at the graduate level, on the health of bisexual women and their relationship with health services. We searched the Theses and Dissertations Catalog published by CAPES between 1992 and 2021. Eight studies met the established inclusion criteria. Thematic analysis revealed six themes: sexual health and sexually transmitted infections; encounter with health professionals; professionals’ view; invisibility of female bisexuality; health policies and programs; and mental health. The theses and dissertations reviewed focused on issues related to sexual health, barriers to access health services due to biphobia and mistaken beliefs about vulnerability to sexually transmitted infections, especially HIV/Aids. Based on the results, we suggest expanding research on the subject, as well as investment in the qualification of professionals in order to sensitize them to listen and include the singularities of this demand, which has been little explored during academic training, seeking to improving care.

Palavras-chave : bisexuality; women’s health; postgraduate studies; review; health services.
