Salvador A. M. Sandoval’s Analytical Model of Political Consciousness (MACP) has been used since its publication in 2001 as a tool for analyzing the subject’s predisposition to act as a political actor in society. The aim of this study was to map the application of the model using quantitative methods in academic research projects. The works of Azevedo (2011), Alves (2013), França (2015), Coriolano (2019), and Silva Junior (2021) were identified. The authors have in common the application of surveys in samples of more than 250 individuals and the use of statistical software SPSS or R. The analysis of these five studies reveals, on the one hand, the multiple statistical possibilities when applying quantitative methods associated with the MACP, and, on the other, the lack of a culture of using this methodology in Social Psychology and Political Psychology in the country, which favor qualitative methods.
