Resumen

Based on the film directed by Michael Radford “The postman and the poet”, a psychoanalitic reading is proposed. Poets and postmen are words conductors in a symbolic sense - they do transfer. In a way, we may say a transference is stablished between Pablo Neruda (the poet) and Mario Ruopollo (the postman). Pablo looks for a son, as well as, Mario seeks for a father. Metaphor by meytaphor they come to a lively encounter.
