A fragment of a clinical case is presented to reflect on the failures of the analysand and the analyst. Intercurrences in the social and professional life of the analysand led to an interruption of the analysis. Would there be an analysis without failures? There was a writing of free texts by the analyzing and a kindness in reading and commenting on the writings by the analyst.
