Abstract

MAGGI, Noeli Reck  and  FACHINI, Paola Giacomini. Drawings and the psychoanalytic clinic with children and adolescents. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2023, n.59, pp.127-134.  Epub Feb 14, 2025. ISSN 0100-3437.  https://doi.org/10.5935/2175-3482.n59a13.

This paper presents part of the studies developed in the module “Children’s drawings in the psychoanalytic clinic with children and adolescents”, promoted by the CPRS Childhood and Adolescence Studies Center. Drawing is one of the resources used by professionals working in the field that meets the demand announced by those seeking to understand and alleviate the suffering of patients who are experiencing childhood and adolescence. The purpose of this study is to reflect on drawings as a way of getting in touch with the internal world of these patients and perceiving the impulsive, libidinal and aggressive movements that establish a link and a dialog with their conscious and unconscious contents. The proposed reflections are based on Donald Winnicott, Françoise Dolto and Antonino Ferro, complemented by the activities of researchers in this area of knowledge.

Keywords : Drawing as a clinical resource; Psychoanalysis; Clinical practice with children and adolescents.
