The present work aims to propose a dialogue between dentistry and psychoanalysis with the aim of presenting a clinical history of a dentistry undergraduate student with upper limb agenesis, who initially undergoes a study and rehabilitation process using biomechanical and myoelectric prostheses. to later carry out a psychoanalytic listening to the complex subjectivation processes created throughout his undergraduate course. A re-reading of Freud’s texts was explored and produced, such as: Little Hans, Doistoievski and parricide, three essays, in addition to the principle of pleasure and others, we re-read post-Freudian texts and authors such as Jacques Lacan in The Writings, Didier Anzieu in Eu-pel and philosophical readings were sought with Jean Michell Besnier in his studies on transhumanism, the study and work of Gunters Andres with his Promethean God, as well as the synergy with the clinical cases of C. Lindenmeyer, our co-author on this work. Our clinical history shows that between the clinical indication of rehabilitation and the search for the idealized symmetrical image of the hands present, we followed a theoretical-clinical path between the perspective of the team of doctors, dentist, undergraduate students, occupational therapists and teachers and psychoanalytic listening, in order to enable the subject who seeks the medical procedure to rehabilitate their congenital defect, a genuine experience of their experiences and choices in the face of the complex processes of subjectivation followed during their training in Dentistry.
