RABUSKE, Anelise Scheuer. The pain that lives in me. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2024, n.61, pp.49-62. Epub June 09, 2025. ISSN 0100-3437. https://doi.org/10.5935/2175-3482.n61a04.
The article is a discussion of the psychoanalytical clinic in practice in situations in which body pains may signal something of the order of the pre-symbolic. Premature sensory experiences recorded because of trauma could integrate in the psyque when they find holding and sensitive analytical listening. Besides words, the motherly and containing role as well as the capacity for para-excitement of the analyst’s work also contribute for this integration process to happen. The analysis of a clinical clipping is developed with the support of contemporary authors of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytical Psychosomatics such as Ferenczi, Roussilon, Anzieu, Fontes and Volich.
