This paper aims to develop issues relating to the place of the body and countertransference from the psychoanalytic clinic with children in conjunction with the dimension of corporeality. In pointing to a psychoanalysis that increasingly needs to take the body as its setting, we take up Winnicott’s premises about sensorially and corporeality in primitive emotional development. Based on these assumptions, Ogden’s notion of thirdness is revisited in conjunction with issues raised by the clinic with children in contemporary times.
