This paper seeks to reflect on the Discontents in culture, as an effect of the colonial project in the Brazilian context. History records the crossroads of the Eurocentric project when it arrived in the New World, which, although it did not affect everyone in the same way, generated a cycle of violence and transformations as an operator of new forms of social and subjective organization for the native peoples, with legal and missionary artifices. We make a cut on racism and gender to think about colonial violence even today.
