The author narrates an emotional experience she had, based on a gift from an unknown lady. The great surprise provokes and evokes the epistemological impulse in relation to the legacy of Abaporu, the anthropophagic movement of Oswald de Andrade, and the psychic functioning related to melancholy in Freud and Ogden.
