Abstract

This article was written from the point of view of a refugee who arrived with his parents in Rio de Janeiro, in December 1951. They brought with them their individual repressed stories which were usually kept in silence, as it often happens with so many other refugees from World War II and other wars until the present day. The author, many years later, began a long search for these stories and because of the intensiveness of their significance he construes his reasoning about the tortuous path of war and peace, where the angels and demons we carry dispute their spaces, leaving traces of pain and tragedy.
