This article discusses the trajectory of Coco Chanel, marked by her revolution in 20th-century women’s fashion. Born into a poor family, Chanel overcame adversity and became a pioneering creator. In the context of female emancipation and the political events of the time, she led radical transformations in Western women’s clothing and behavior. Her influence extended beyond France and England, reaching the rest of the Western world. Chanel understood the power of image, and her success endured for about half a century, establishing her reign in haute couture. Her upbringing in an orphanage contributed to her disciplined development in sewing.
