Abstract

TURKIEWICZ, Gizela  and  CIERO, Helena Cunha Di. Damn skirt: women are always guilty, since the original sin myth. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2023, vol.45, n.76, pp.65-78.  Epub Aug 16, 2024. ISSN 0101-3106.  https://doi.org/10.5935/0101-3106.v45n76.08.

This essay aims to reflect on the influence of the violence against women naturalization both in the construction of female sexuality and psychoanalytic thought, including the formation of the analyst’s listening. Among literary and clinical examples and harassment victim reports, the authors set out to try to understand a social symptom that repeats itself: the silence after sexual violence as a symptomformer, and woman blaming, which leads to the feeling that they don’t deserve to be heard. They consider that these are structuring factors of a femininity discontent, introjected and cross-generationally transmitted, as a cursed heritage that marks women subjectivity.

Keywords : femininity; violence against women; psychoanalytic listening; women sexuality.
