MALZYNER, Mirian. Psychoanalyst’s atelier: the search for meaning and the need for expression. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2024, vol.46, n.77, pp.127-135.  Epub Sep 20, 2024. ISSN 0101-3106.  https://doi.org/10.5935/0101-3106.v46n77.19.

The text highlights the importance of forms of artistic expression for understanding human existence and try to think of the analyst’s office as an atelier, a place for exchanging, learning and experimenting with languages.

It brings aspects of the life and work of the painter Mark Rothko, with regard to the subtleties involved in the interplay between revealing oneself and placing oneself in vulnerability.

Keywords : psychoanalysis and art; artistic language; aesthetics; communication and non-communication; nucleus of solitude.
