In this article we discuss the insertion of psychoanalysts into teams of psycho-oncologists. We also deal with a number of conceptual and methodological specificities related to psychoanalysis and health psychology. Finally we discuss the differences between psychoanalysis and psycho-oncology as applied to the problem of sexuality in penectomized men - object of our current research efforts.
