Abstract

SANT’ANNA, Anderson de Souza  and  FERREIRA, Jaqueline. THE (POST-)WORK DISCONTENT. Reverso [online]. 2022, vol.44, n.83, pp.35-42.  Epub Oct 28, 2024. ISSN 0102-7395.  https://doi.org/10.5935/0102-7395.v44n83.04.

In the universe of issues that marks the contemporary, the emphasis attributed to the notion of happiness stands out. Considering that what is lacking is desired, such emphasis ends up showing its opposite, particularly in the dimension of work, in which the ephemeral, the flexible, the disposable produce changes and permanence in relation to the Freudian elaborations around malaise and instinctual renunciation. in favor of the civilizing process. In this instance, the transition to the Fourth Industrial Revolution reiterates approximations between surplusvalue and surplus-enjoyment, in order to place malaise in the post-work era, at least as an analytical category classically understood.

Keywords : Malaise; Work; Labor relations; Post-work society; Fourth Industrial Revolution.
