The initial psychoanalytic interview is undoubtedly an important starting point for the formation of the analytic bond. Considering the importance of such a bond for the development of the psychoanalytic process/treatment, this work aims to address the main aspects of this interview, as well as to present other moments arising from it that can influence the formation of such a bond, such as the contract, the setting and from the setting. The main objective is to demonstrate how a wellconducted initial interview can effectively materialize as the first and most important step in the formation of the analytical link.
