In this work, we approach the construction of psychoanalytical analogies inspired by Physics, starting from Freudian incentives, passing through Marie Bonaparte’s studies on the objections of the unconscious’ timelessness, until we reach a discussion about the psychic quanta. We present the theoretical assumptions that support this eclectic model of meta psychological explanation. The notion of psychic quantum has its mainstay in Quantum Physics and derives from Bonaparte’s biopsychic physicalism, which is based on the physicalist epistemology of Naturwissenschaften. Finally, the psychic quantum theory is brought up with questions related to clinical and meta psychological theorizing about obsessional neurosis.
