This article aims to promote a reflection about the challenges of psychoanalytic clinics in the transition from modernity to post-modernity, based on a revisit to Freudian metapsychology, from Lacan’s contributions, highlighting modern and post-modern interactions between fundamental concepts to the knowledge invented by Freud: from the pulsion to jouissance, from the symptom to the sinthome, from the subject to the falasser.
