The present work proposes, through the construction and analysis of a clinical case, to situate the clinic of the elderly in the process of illness as possible in psychoanalysis. The construction of the case of a patient treated in an outpatient clinic of a public hospital, a reference in oncology, is presented. Under the evolution of the theoretical framework of psychoanalysis, with the inclusion of care for the elderly through a possible clinic, one goes through the implications of aging and illness in the body. It is considered that the unconscious has no age, but bodies do and, even if organically reached, it continues to be an instinctual body and, therefore, affected by experiences of satisfaction and dissatisfaction, through which illness passes
