Abstract

CECCARELLI, Paulo Roberto. THE NARCISSISM OF SMALL DIFFERENCES AND ITS DEVELOPMENTS. Reverso [online]. 2024, vol.46, n.87, pp.31-38.  Epub May 19, 2025. ISSN 0102-7395.  https://doi.org/10.5935/0102-7395.v46n87.03.

Starting from the premise that narcissism is one of the first psychic resources to “dribble” castration, the author brings reflections on how recurrent themes nowadays, such as “political correctness”, “place of speech”, have been transforming into spaces of identification that, imaginarily, would annul castration, difference, in short, the other. Clinical work has been, little by little, contaminated by an ideological position that segregates singularities, giving rise to the narcissism of small differences, which disregards the constitutive path of the person who does not respond to certain narcissistic configurations.

Keywords : Narcissism of small differences; Exclusion; Dimensions of reality.
