This article analyzes how the Fifty Shades of Gray and The CEO Job trilogies gives new meaning to female masochism, subverting it into a conscious strategy of empowerment and autonomy. Using the concepts of masochistic masquerade and neiko-eroticism, we investigate how the protagonists perform submission strategically, manipulating desire and reconfiguring the power dynamics in their relationships. By repositioning female pleasure at the center of interactions, these narratives challenge expectations of vulnerability and passivity attributed to women, creating a space for the assertion of their autonomy and pleasure.
