Abstract

GRASSI, Giulia Oliva; MENEZES, Marina  and  MORE, Carmen Leontina Ojeda Ocampo. SOCIAL NETWORK IN CO-PARENTING: AN INTEGRATIVE REVIEW. Psicol. clin. [online]. 2022, vol.34, n.3, pp.553-576.  Epub Aug 02, 2024. ISSN 0103-5665.  https://doi.org/10.33208/pc1980-5438v0034n03a06.

Co-parenting, understood as the relationships of joint involvement of adults in the education, development and care of children, is sustained in a social network configured around individuals based on common interests. Aiming to understand the relationships between social network and co-parenting, an integrative review was carried out in the PsycINFO, BVS, Web of Science, Scopus and SciELO databases, from which 12 studies were selected. The results showed: conceptual undifferentiation between social network and social support, with a prevalence of quantitative studies; that the relationships between social network and co-parenting indicated social support as one of the functions of this network of parental relationships; that family, community and institutional relationships were identified as both protective and risk factors; and that improvement of the co-parental relationship was associated with interventions in the domain of institutional and community networks, with the aim of preventing harm to human development and promoting healthy relationships.

Keywords : co-parenting; social network; social support; family relations; human development.
