SILVA, Nara Helena Lopes Pereira da e ANTUNEZ, Andrés Eduardo Aguirre. PSYCHOTHERAPY MEDIATED BY DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES: LONGITUDINAL PHENOMENOLOGICAL STUDY. Psicol. clin. [online]. 2023, vol.35, n.1, pp.105-128. Epub 26-Ago-2024. ISSN 0103-5665. https://doi.org/10.33208/pc1980-5438v0035n01a05.
This work aims to understand the experiences in online psychotherapy processes. This is a longitudinal, descriptive, comprehensive and phenomenological study. Three psychotherapists and six people who sought psychotherapy participated. The instruments used were physical records and online self-administered written records, with identical questions for therapists and people served, aimed at describing the psychotherapy experience, answered after each session. The data were organized into two axes: online environment, flexibility and unpredictability, which reflects on technological, physical, choice and connection flexibility; and online therapeutic encounter: personhood, intimacy, presence and affected body. The digital hybridization of life is discussed, as well as the need to differentiate the personal and professional use of digital technologies. It reflects on flexibility, unpredictability, impersonality, intimacy and disinhibition in the online environment. The need for information, guidance and co-responsibility in the process, in its ethical, legal and digital security aspects, is highlighted.
