Abstract
ALVES, Jéssika Rodrigues and BARBIERI, Valeria. ADOLESCENCE IN CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY: AN INTEGRATIVE LITERATURE REVIEW. Psicol. clin. [online]. 2023, vol.35, n.2, pp.359-381. Epub Aug 23, 2024. ISSN 0103-5665. https://doi.org/10.33208/pc1980-5438v0035n02a07.
This integrative review study of scientific literature aimed to analyze recent publications on family and adolescence in the context of Winnicott’s theory of emotional development. Searches were performed in LILACS, MEDLINE, PePsic, PsycINFO and SciELO databases, from which, after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 11 articles were selected to be analyzed. The predominant profile was that of theoretical studies and case studies, which discuss the clinical care of adolescents in the Winnicottian theory of emotional maturation. In adolescence, the psychic apparatus is undergoing transformation, which requires the environment to endure the youth’s aggressions, thus highlighting the role of the family and the school during this stage of development. It is noteworthy that the studies that made up the corpus of this review extend the Winnicottian theory to encompass new realities; however, they do not take into account the broader social changes that impact the domestic universe.
Keywords : adolescence; family; emotional development.
