Studies on family resilience in the context of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) prioritize caregivers’ perceptions and demonstrates the importance of understanding the perspective of other members. This study aimed to identify processes of family resilience and possible barriers to their realization, based on the perception of siblings of individuals with ASD. For this, a multiple case study was carried out with six teenage siblings, using individual interviews with photographs. Through deductive thematic analysis, the occurrence of family resilience processes was observed, according to Walsh’s model. Strengthening aspects were evidenced in the personal and family transformations mentioned by the participants, such as learning to better understand each other and improving family unity. This unity is promoted by open communication, mutual support, flexibility, and the perception that the challenges of TEA are shared. However, the lack of exclusive time with the parents, the limitation of social support and some roles taken up by the sibling in the family can be barriers to the realization of some processes of family resilience. One concludes that, despite the challenges, having a member with ASD provides personal and family growth that depends, among other aspects, on how these experiences are shared in the family.
