Abstract

PEDIGONE, Julia Mancilha Carvalho  and  SIGNORINI, Lucas Hangai. Obstruction of clinical listening in mental health: a psychoanalytic critique. J. psicanal. [online]. 2023, vol.56, n.104, pp.101-117.  Epub Aug 23, 2024. ISSN 0103-5835.  https://doi.org/10.5935/0103-5835.v56n104.08.

This text talks about the issue of psychosocial care, clinical listening occurs from the user’s first contact with the service. If we pay attention to the listening offered in different spaces of a mental health service, however, we are faced with a practice that is obstructed on several fronts, and consequently inattentive to the potentialities of the subjects’ lives. Starting from the point of view of psychoanalysis, the text seeks to problematize the way in which one listens in a substitutive mental health service, considering the care with listening among peers and the subjective crossings that workers go through in their duties. Also, the psychoanalytic clinic cannot abstain from the social, economic and epidemiological turmoil of the present moment, and in the encounter with public health, where it is intended to promote citizenship and autonomy of those who pass by, it can contribute to a complexification or sUSPension of crystallized knowledge.

Keywords : mental health; psychoanalytic clinic; psychosocial care; transversality; institutional analysis.
