This article, supported by the Historical-Cultural Theory, problematizes that life cycles are variable and are constituted from concrete situations in life. In order to capture the dynamics and movement that lead to the psychological specificities of each period, it is necessary to understand the dialectical interrelation between the social situation of development, guiding activity, neoformation and crisis. It is from these concepts that adolescence is perceived as a historical construct in which social, political and ideological aspects forge the adolescent subject. The focus shifts from being just biological and concentrates on the developmental opportunities that allow the teenager to ascend to a new way of thinking, to which complexification starts to operate through concepts.
