The general objective of this study was to systematically evaluate the bibliographical production, over the last 20 years, on the relationship between parental socialization and aggressive behavior in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The inclusion criteria of the articles were: publications from the last 20 years, within the chosen theme and with children diagnosed with ASD as a sample. The exclusion criteria used were: theses, dissertations and duplicate articles. From the search performed, 25 articles were analyzed. According to the selected articles, aggressive behavior is not a diagnostic criterion for ASD, but a behavior that may arise as a result of some characteristics related to the disorder, such as communication deficits, sensory deficits and behavioral patterns. Regarding the socialization practices used by fathers and mothers of children with ASD, excessive protection and control strategies and little use of rules and discipline prevailed. With regard to the relationship between aggressive behavior and socialization practices, significant associations were found between discipline and harsh punishment and aggressive behavior. It is believed that the results found will help to plan new research and interventions that include caregivers and children with ASD.
