This article is part of a master’s thesis which aimed to characterize the psychopedagogues associated with the Brazilian Association of Psychopedagogy (ABPp) in the state of Rio Grande do Sul (RS), considering academic training, the contexts of action and focusing on the background and involvement with inclusive work with people with disabilities (PwD). To reach these professionals, was necessary the intermediation of the ABPpRS, an entity of a scientific-cultural nature that represents the category within the social and scientific community, developing psychopedagogy and defending its associates, collaborating with the country’s education, with the training of psychopedagogues and with the alignment of public policies focused on education and health. This study involved the application of a questionnaire through Google Forms, with the access link made available to the association members through a WhatsApp group they are part of. The questionnaire was available from July 3 to July 15, 2023, and had 47 respondents, which corresponds to 17.60% of members. The responding psychopedagogues are women living in 29 distinct municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. All of them have degrees and specializations, with seventeen holding a master’s degree and two having a doctor’s degree. Their professional activities are divided between clinical and institutional areas, across various settings, audiences, and age groups.
