The aim of this study was to outline the Brazilian research on skills associated with numerical transcoding (the ability to translate a numerical representation into another), to verify its approaches and differences in comparison to international research. For that it was carried out an integrative review from Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD), Portal de Periódicos CAPES. Portal de Periódicos Eletrônicos em Psicologia (PePSIC) e a Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) databases. The search was conducted in January 2021, using as keywords “transcoding” and “numerical,” without any date restrictions. In addition, a manual search was conducted on the website of the Laboratório de Neuropsicologia do Desenvolvimento da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (LND-UFMG). The review resulted in the selection of 11 articles and seven academic works (Doctoral Theses and Master’s Dissertations) published between 2010 and 2020. The review findings highlighted the prevalence of research on transcoding among students in the early years of elementary school. The Brazilian studies showed similarities and differences in comparison to international research: both contexts emphasized working memory and language skills in transcoding, although their relative importance varied depending on the language. Brazilian studies also suggested using transcoding assessment to identify mathematical difficulties.Parte inferior do formulário
